Symposium Goal |
| To develop a medical and community action plan to address the metabolic syndrome – diabetes crisis emerging in the Latino communities. Our goal being the empowerment of the Latino community, with clear strategies empowerment and for the implementation of linguistic and culturally appropriate comprehensive public health programs, services, and public policies needed to respond to the metabolic syndrome and diabetes crisis among Illinois Latino population and the state in general. |
